French Hill Fruit Trees is an urban micronursery located in Nashua, NH. We offer varieties of hard to find fruits that we love. All of our selections are reliable, have few pests in our area, and are suitable for New England. Our plants are best suited for backyard gardeners, urban orchardists, and homesteaders. Figs
A warm climate treat that does surprisingly well in New England. Given winter protection and full sun, a fig tree will reward you with figs far better than anything you can buy at the store. Few pests and diseases.
Currants and Gooseberries
Perfect for jams, jellies, and fresh eating, these old-world classics grow well in our cooler climate. Will even produce in shade, but for best results plant in full sun. There are restrictions on what varieties can be grown in New Hampshire. We have sourced a number of New Hampshire Legal varieties.
Persimmons
Delicious, trouble free, and highly ornamental: what’s not to love? The sweet orange fruits must be completely soft before eating, resulting in a true gourmet treat. We carry American persimmon varieties and some cold-hardy Asian-American hybrids. Best suited for the southern third of New Hampshire and points south.
